North Shore Family Camping

We've done some "dry camping" with our RV this summer and now trying to plan a North Shore trip. For this one, I'd like to find more of a resort with a pool, kids activities and hopefully a lake to put our boat in.

Any thoughts? Personally, I love rustic camping, but I'm giving up a little bit of that for kids activities this time.

Might check out the Grand Marais Rec Park. I believe they have room for campers, the municiapal pool is open and there's kind of a big lake right next to it. Also, there is a skateboard park in town, if your kids (or you) are into that.

In Two Harbors you could look at Superior Shores. A little further up you could check out Grand Superior Lodge.

In Lutsen, check any of the offerings at Lutsen Mountain Recreation Area. This may be your best bet as far as kid's stuff goes. You have bike trails, the alpine slide, hiking, good restaurants, very close to golf, Grand Marais and lots of lakes. Very family friendly.
