Doctors are good. I've got a few of them, including a couple that I've reversed so the action is different. I typically pull Finn, Sutton and Krocodile spoons, with the more standard laker/salmon spoons in somewhat larger sizes thrown in for good measure.

Once in awhile a Williams Wabler or Cleo or similar stubby spoon to shake things up.

i agree with all those selections, but how about the slender spoon which is getting more popular as far as ice fishing. i used the slender [smaller version] in grindstone trolling for rainbow and had good results with it. have never used it for lakers yet in open water. i have found this spoon has great action when trolled or casted and retrieved. first year with this spoon and used mostly jigging through the ice but i wonder if anyone else uses it for trolling. good luck.

In early summer in our favorite Canada lake, we almost exclusively troll crankbaits.

We have tons of success with #9 shad raps, whatever the largest size of jointed shad is, and (I forget what size) deep down tail dancers.

I like them in some paint scheme heavy on blue or purple.
