bturck
LOL We have though about it. However being 5 hours away we decided that it might not be worth the trouble, easier to rent from the resort. We have a 5th wheel trailer at our disposal, strap 'er down like hay bales and hit the road. If I was only closer...
WingDing2
Yeah Bill the 6 hour drive holds me back from visiting the point more than I want too, especially when gas is $4.00 bucks a gallon!
bturck
Yuh, that was a little crazy last summer for sure with the high prices. I bought a cabin 5 years ago and spent an entire weekend up at LOW looking for a place, however I decided I did not want a 4-5 hour drive every Friday night to go that far. Fortunate we found a nice place on a very good lake an hour from my driveway. I love LOW, and look forward to every trip on the hard water though. Being down in Jordan you can add a lot more time to that ride. Hopefully this summer will be friendlier to the tourist industry. The resort on Mille Lacs where we have a perm said they were down 30% last summer. Thats awfully tough on any business. Headed to LOW next Wed for the last hoorah, I hope. Ryan_V
there are guys that will haul it for you, or if you have access to rent/borrow a flatbed, that's all they use. I have had my 10x16 moved twice without any problems. going as far as you'd go, I'd take extra precautions with shingles/etc, but would be easy to do. bturck
BigPike: The house I have for sale would be an excellent house for LOW. Its big enough to accomadate some people and yet not so big that you would have to bust your b***s moving it around. As Ryan mentioned there are people who will move them, in fact when we first had it it was on the west side of Mille Lacs and we moved it to the east side. A friend of ours has a 5th wheel goose neck and he would probably be able to move it up there for you. We loaded it with a skidder and away we went. Where it is now stored they have a skidder and getting it onto a trailer wouldn't be a major deal. I'll shoot you some pics, let me know what you think. I am headed up in the next couple of weeks to paint the inside again. We thought about tongue and groove but haven't done it yet, but it would really deck it out. bill
bturck
BigPike: Can't find the pics right now. I will have my son send them to me again and I will get them to you today. As far as moving it regarding shingles, that wouldn't be a problem we put a metal roof on it last year. I also have a spare key so if you would buy it and you come up and see my vehicle there just knock three times, I'd pack up and leave.

bturck
BigPike: This house does have 4 bunks. In the picture that shows the stove, counter and cabinets, if you turned around right behind you would be another 4 bunks. There is also a fold up table which would be behind you as well. just wanted to clarify, the bunk question. Good luck if you're headed to Red or LOW this weekend.
