Looking for walleyes, catching Rock Bass?

Move to a different spot, different depth, looked for sandy bottom/sunken islands, deep weed bed? Get away from the rocks.

Are my hypotheses correct?

Were are the Rockies located at?? Weeds? Rock? Gravel? Sand?... Just try fishing the transition zone right down from were they are. You might be able to find some eyes doing that.
I did that last weekend b/c the rock bass were thick on top of this bar @15' in the weeds. So I moved out to the grassline edge in about 20' to 25' of water and I caught a bunch of eyes.
Just keep searching and if that doesnt work try fishing at night.

And keep those hooks sharp!

We were fishing a sand bar with scattered weeds and a rock reef in ~15 FOW. This was an area that had produced some nice walleyes in years past. This year we could not even get our bait to the bottom without a moon eye hitting. I did end up moving way out and picking up some nice walleyes on a small mainlake point, but don't know what happened to my mid-day great walleye spot.
