Finally have a craft large enough for limited (close to shore)Great Lakes fishing and would like to findd a few lakers or what ever other monster swim in the cold water.

When and where might a guy try for these? I've heard Algoma... Open to tips and suggestions.

Anytime it is calm enough to get your boat on the water wink

Lake Superior will provide you with Lake Trout action along with Coho and King Salmon. When we found them yesterday we caught 3 right away and then they shutdown. The biggest was right around 12-14 pounds. The best bite was on top trolling plugs. Yesterday it seemed like orange plugs worked best. I will provide you with a couple of links. We use Modis to see where the mud line is at and the offshore forecast to give us a idea on the wind direction and wave height.

OUTSTANDING!!!

Thanks for the links, Jim!!! I'll be finishing up the extra wiring on my new boat hopefully today. Also need to mount the Cannons and figure out an adapter for my planer board mast. A little water testing and a few choice looks from the city folks and I'll be good to go!

Thanks again Jim!!

What boards and releases are going to use ?

When you decide to hit Superior make sure to PM me and I will try to get you the most recent info on where the bite is best. We have given up on the Wisconsin side because there is just too much mud in the water. The good part is there is great water on the MN. side and it is not to far from shore.
