Smallmouth, Vermillion, Late September

Hello,

My dad and I love Smallmouth fishing. Heard Vermillion was suppose to have some. However, never have fished end of September/beginning of October. Is that too late? Is the lake turning over then? If okay to fish, are they deep, shallow or both? Any help would be much appreciated.

Okay. So, if my Dad and me had to do it next year, what's the best "3-week" range? Last 3 weeks in June? I realize every year can be different. Thanks!

Fishing around the spawn in early June is an awesome time to chase smallmouth too.
