Minn Kota Talon

Thinking seriously about rigging my Skeeter with one of these. Anyone running one and how do they like it? Also, what mounting bracket worked for you?

I have a Talon and it is awesome!! You will not be disappointed! I have found a lot of uses for it thatI hadnt thought of Ihave the bracket designed for a triton its heavy duty and doesnt move a bit.

Have one as well, it's awesome.

You will be amazed how often you use it for things you never thought of.

I.E. break off on a dock and need to retie, fish gets hooks tuck in the net and it takes a bit to get them out, and the best one a buddy of yours noses up to a culvert with current running through it, puts the his Talon down, sits in that spot and weighs just under 19lbs. when you are out fishing weed lines and manage 1 fish for 2.6lbs. I'M NOT BITTER .

Not sure on the bracket but shouldn't be hard to find out which one you need.

Not trying to steal the post sorry, But is there any difference between the Talon and the Power Pole? Besides how it looks.. Any preformace diffrences?

What model skeeter you have? Think there is mountin issues when going putting on a skeeter with the rear humps on the back (SX190).

I have a ZX202C and it does have the big humps, plan on mounting it to the jack plate port side. Think the JP6 will work but at $150 a crack hate to find out I need a JP9. Don't care to go any longer than necessary and lose rigidness.

From what I understand the Power Pole is hydraulically operated whereas the Talon is a self contained electronic unit. I chose the Talon because it's more reasonably priced/lighter and I can install it myself. One drawback I suppose is that the Talon doesn't deploy out of the way but more often than not partner and I fish in the front anyways.
