I shoulda stayed up and watched it. I saw about 2 periods worth and it was a great game.

Awesome night last night! Duluth rolls on, Mn beat the Mavs, Northeastern blew Notre Dame up, and Providence beat Merrimack (great for UMD's pairwise if they can get one more point tonight). BU even beat BC.

Can I get a complete repeat of last night please?

Jack Connolly starting to build some stats for a Hobey campaign. What's impressive is he is playing with Mike Seidel and Joe Basaraba for the last few series. Good players, but they are not on the same level as a Mike Connolly or Justin Fontaine.

Yup repeat was granted except for BU beating BC. I really don't care much about that, but I look for BC to lose as often as possible.

UMD is taking care of business thats for sure, but we remain on the road for the foreseeable future.

You gotta be happy with 2 sweeps in a row by the nameless green and black. I still maintain they will be there come February/March. They're back to .500 in the WCHA after a tough start.

There introduce as the "University of North dakota" by the announcer at the games. The fans at the game still say Sioux at the end of the anthem. For anyone who hasn't been at a UND home game, during the "Star Spangle Banner" at the very end of the song its "home of the brave" the crowd yells SIOUX to drown out brave. Its cool because its unique but I hate disrespecting the national anthem.

Bemidji State does the same thing using "Beavers" at the end of the national anthem... I doubt that these are the only rinks where the fans do it!

Right, there's probably lots of fans that add the homer mascot to the anthem. But it has amazed me how many people haven't registered the play on words going on in GF. Brave = Indian Warriors or Braves = Sioux, that what makes it unique in GF and not Bemidji or any other city with a non Native American mascot. What is "brave" about a beaver, or a gopher, or any other rodent. I've been asked before why Sioux fans do this and it amazes me that so many people haven't been able to put two and two together.

of the other 100 teams that yell their team name or mascot in place of brave. Heck half the teams just yell brave. I'm with you brooks, id rather any team respect the anthem and their country and sing it the way its written. But hey, they are college fans and atleast they are into making noise and in to it.

It just kills me you married a Sioux alum Scott. Ask her if she makes a "Sioux brave connection" or is it the "home of the Sioux" connection. Nah, I never got my new gun. Im glad I didnt. I hunted birds for 1 week in ND and now I am going to try for saturday for a bit. I havent hunted enough to justify a new purchase this year. maybe next year, however I am debating on trading in the fishhawk and getting a early 2000 Ranger boat. If I do that my toy limit will be maxed out.

Surprise: Maroon and Gold on top, both teams! It's been a fun year for me to watch college hockey. I'm impressed with how Goldy has made a quick turnaround with a coaching change, a change in attitude, a hot goalie, and some key Freshman players.

I'm further impressed that Duluth has maintained its scoring touch after losing 3 great players last year. The strong play of Seidel, Herbert, Kishel, Crandall, and Casto was really unexpected. Reiter has been good in goal after a rough start to the season. They were relentless against Sconnie on Saturday. I wonder if they keep their focus after a 4 week break.

What happened to the Colorado schools? I thought both of them would be great this year, but so far we haven't seen it. Maybe they'll make a push later on in the year. Not crying at all about this.

I am most impressed by the quick turnaround by Tech. They are competitive and they couldn't have been further from it the last couple of years. Anyone see the "fight" and NSFW words being exchanged by coaching staffs? And no game DQ for Helgeson and the guy he was fighting?

Also a lot of teams clogged up in the middle who will be fighting for home ice. A few of these will have much stronger 2nd halves I think.

What happened last night? CC losing to Cornell, Mankato losing to St Lawrence, and Denver LOSING to Alabamaa Huntsville? Talk about a Holiday hangover. Looking for some better WCHA results tonight.

Wcha is looking like a 2 team ncaa tourny conference. Let's hope gophs and I think the dogs play again, can clean house tonight.

Otherwise upsets in the final 5 are going to be our only way to get to 3 teams.

Looking forward to watching Gophers/UND at the Ralph on TV. Always a good matchup. Sioux maybe making a little run lately?

Looks like I should stop being so cheap, UMD is on NBC Sports tonight, but my "top 200" satellite package is inadequate. I'll have to settle for watching on the interwebs.

Omaha has made a strong push to get their first ever hockey sellout in their huge arena (seats 15,900). They've even got an overdone Youtube promo video out there. Motivation for Dogs to continue their streak. We might even get to play a home game next week!

Exciting game last night. Pretty happy with UND's play except for Kristo spasing out after his ejection. That was embarrassing. These refs miss alot of calls. Did anyone catch the missed icing that UND scored off of? Did I miss something?

Brooks, I was cheering for your team last night. We want a piece of that cup that starts with an M. I'm pretty sure Don didn't miss that icing call. He was pretty upset and rightfully so. The Ralph was a rockin'.

Dogs scored twice in first 2 minutes last night. Then pretty much the same thing for UNO to start the 2nd. It was a very close game until the 3rd. Sandy has them really believing in themselves in the last 20 minutes. Hoping for something similar tonight.

Also rooting against the Colorado schools tonight. Come on Bemidji and St Cloud.

Saw the icing, honestly I thought it was such a boring game. Again the gphs are the wordt coached team in hockey. Lucias goal is to split every series. Gophs looked out of place and lazy, nd looked average but at least skated hard.

Hopeing for something better tonight.

Wish I woulda tuned into to a little more of the dogs game. Looked like and exciting score at least.
