Chris Haley
That's what I do, put it about two feet above the jig. If you don't like this idea you can run your line out behind the boat when you get on the water and this will take all the twisting out of your line. Then just reel it in again and you're set for the trip.No jig on of course.[This message has been edited by Chris Haley (edited 05-14-2003).]
Big Roy
How do you keep jigs from twisting? Should I be using a barrel swivel?
Aquaman01
Chris is right on on that one! I use the river, but same idea. I had asked my son to help me spool a reel 'cause he needed something to do besides hassle his little sister, so between the two of us we made a mess of $10.00 worth of Power Pro. I went to a fishing pier on The Missy, tied on a good swivel and a short leader with a 1/4 oz. bullet and long thin bobber. Let the line all the way out and reeled it in. Voila! perfect spool. I do it partially whenever I notice a few loops start on the spool. ------------------Aquaman<')}}}}}><{Peace and Fishes
