Fish Trap Lake Info

So I am going to fish Fish Trap Lake and have never been there before. I was wondering if anyone has tips on how/where to fish it. I looked at a topo map and have a basic gameplan but was wondering if anyone who has fished it has some pointers.

The lake is loaded with bass. Many fish in the 17-19". I like fishing the bullrushes with wieghtless senko's t-rigged or wacky rigged. Small bombers(can't recall size) work great over most shoreline weeds. If you are not against using live bait I would suggest Jumbo leeches fished on the inside weed edges or outside of the weeds in 13-15' of water. Redtail minnows work well too for larger fish on the outside weed edges. Live bait will also land you some bonus walleye and numerous pike.

This is my favorite home water, a truly wonderfull lake. Treat it wisely please and enjoy.

Ive fished it a few years It is a great lake for LM and there are a lot. T rigged worms, Even those pre rigged The Worm in a purple is hot for that lake around this time just take a split shot to get it a bit deeper. We also used Northland Timber Rock jigs and leaches and had some good days on that to. We fished a lot close to Sweetwater Resort.
