marine_man
I bet.. with the 6 hp I bet it was a slow ride to the fishing spot!marine_man
delcecchi
Hey, I spend my youth fishing out of a 14 foot boat with a 5 horse and two or three guys. Cast those daredevles on Goose Lake.
marine_man
I spent a couple summers in a 12' with a 6hp.. it worked.. but, if it was raining you were going to get wet... marine_man
soldoncass
My first motor was a 4 1/2 hp Merc. with rental boats, went up to my own 12 footer, then a 14 footer with that motor. I fished on "this side" of the lake a lot more. I jumped up to a 15 hp evinrude.....wow, what a difference....it put the boat "on plane", and opened up the whole lake. Then I went up to a wider 14 foot Lund with a 20 hp on it, that took waves better. Bigger lakes were now an option.....now I have a 16 foot with a 40 hp. Room for 3-4 people instead of 2, and bigger lakes yet. Once you go up you never look back Enjoy your new ride!
