Trading the number 2 pick

When Bynum is healthy, he is one of the best centers in the NBA. Problem is, he always seems to have something ailing him, and he has an attitude. But thats not always a bad thing.

Injury prone, Bynum cannot stay healthy at all. No to Bynum. I heard Lakers offered Odom straight up for #2, ridiculous; Lakers are saying Gasol and Bynum are untouchable. With Lorenzo Romar as a candidate for the coaching job, I would not mind us grabbing Williams at 2. I read in a wolves' site that Romar runs a lot of G, G, F, F, F and G, G, G, F, F lineups. I would not mind seeing this...

Rubio

Wes

Beasley

Williams

Love

or

Rubio

Wes

Beasley

Love

Randolph

I would take Bynum for the #2 if we could get it. Yes he is injury prone, but he's 7'2", plays defense and would dominate most centers if he was the focal point of an offense. Plus, he's only 23 compared to Gasol and Odom who are both over 30.

I would also accept that rumored deal with Milwaukee where we get Bogut and their #13 pick or whatever it was. Not a lot of true centers in the league. The Wolves need someone to help defend the rim to make up for their defensive shortcomings at other positions.

I'd trade Williams for Monta Ellis. Golden State supposedly wants to get rid of him to free up Steph Curry...you know, the guy we should have taken fourth or fifth a couple years ago? A good #2 like Ellis or a solid #5 like Bynum or Gortat would do it for me. I guess Gortat is untouchable though.

we have pekovic!! haha

I think Anthony Randolph/Kevin Love/Pek can handle the majority of the center minutes. Then when teams with a real center, or a big center come to town, we have Brad Miller and Darko to grind the floor. I think with the excess of players in the Forward position, Love will be spending a few more minutes each game as center, to get Beasely, and Williams, and Wes on the floor.

Rotation for 70% of the games.

Rubio

Love

Beasely

Wes

Williams

Bench or back up to fill in for the big teams

Luke, Randolph, Darko, Brad Miller, etc

I think we will be a fun team to watch. I also think our record last year was purposely lower then what it could have been, along with some really bad coaching calls at the ends of games. If you add in how many games we lost that were within 3 points at the end, or that we were up by 10 or more at the beginning of the 4th quarter, we would have easily had 30+ wins last year. So with the additions we added to the roster, and hopefully adding a good coach, we get those close games, and dont lose those big leads in the 4th. And maybe pick up a few more wins.

It also helps the other teams in our division had a sell off last year, and got rid of a few of there good starters. We have a bright future ahead of us.

Millers $4.9 million contract will be mostly paid by insurance, and he is only gaurenteed like $560k for 2011, so we pretty much got him for nothing, and we have a ton of money to spend for free agents once the CBA is settled. There will be a lot of teams dumping players to free up cap space, and we will be buyers when that happens.

The cap is rumored to be right around $62 million. There are many teams that are way over that, with contracts due soon. And the Wolves should have a lot to spend.

This is the team totals, the Owners are pushing hard for a $62 million cap. So it leaves a lot of teams that will be dumping contracts if they get it, even if it is $72 million, there is a lot of dumping going to happen.

We don't need Monta, he cannot play off the ball, we want the ball in Ricky's hands. Bynum is untouchable as well as Gortat.

I would love to see this lineup as our starter:

Rubio

Wes

Beasley

Williams

Love

and the backup:

Ridnour

Webster

Tolliver

Randolph

Darko

with Pekovic coming in for foul troubles.
