I wonder what the workable compromise will be on the pike regulations and spearing on Cass?

Compromise: 120 slot lakes, 9880 lakes without slots

Compromise: No spearing on Cass, and what is it, 28 other lakes? Open spearing on the rest of the Cass chain and the remaining 9972 lakes.

I'd say that's pretty fair already. Let's not be fooled into thinking we need to compromise any further just because these things made it in to the bill. Kudos to Dayton for vetoing, and great news for 99% of anglers in MN.

I hope the general public doesn't forget this one soon. The junk provisions thrown in here by the crooked few are holding back a lot of good and necessary Fish and Game legislation. Hopefully Dayton set the tone for next year's bill with his veto this year.
