Running Shoes

Could any of you recommend a good place to buy running shoes in the NW metro area or possibly the mall of america area? Like a place geared towards running, not a Richard's or foot locker type of place. Thanks

The main specialty running store in the NW metro is the Running Room in Maple Grove. Most of their staff are pretty experienced in fitting and can put you in the right kind of shoe. Most of sales staff at the big box sporting goods stores just know how to sell shoes. Albertville outlet stores has a few stores like Nike, Puma, Reebok, but again it seems like most of their staff are not experienced in anything other than selling product. A couple of other specialty running stores on the west side of the metro include Gear West in Long Lake and TC Running in Eden Prairie. A little south and west but I've had good experiences with both. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
