OK so we had a garage sale this weekend. I was amazed at some of the things people bought, that I thought would never sell. What is the weirdest thing you have bought or sold?

We held two last yr...with all the online adv on one of those buy/sell HSOforum lists, we included an old stainless two sided sink ("we even have a kitchen sink") in the ad.

And it sold!

Going back many years, I was always amazed at how real, real old bottles of ladies perfume was gobbled up.

This weekend, I'd have to say the weirdest sale was of some old prom dresses...turns out the buyers were thespians looking to get some costumes for a play they were in.

I can't think of anything completely odd I purchased, but they are fun to stop by just to see what people will try to sell/people will buy.

I have bought several hand augers for ice fishing for $3 or less. Put new blades on them and then re-sell or use. Ice fishing stuff goes darn cheap in the summer!
