Maxxed Out
Have you asked your taxidermist?
Shoot2Kill
Talk to the guy who did it first....if he can't do it call Jerry Frolich at Flyway Taxidermy in St Cloud. If he can't fix it, I'd say no. That guy is amazing. Google his site.

#fishhunt#
Is it flying or standing? I can see where you may want it puffued up while standing but if it is flying it is more natural to have the head not puffed up but more sleek. The taxidermist may be able to resoak the head to soften up the skin but it is going to be difficult and may not look as good as it does now. Post a pic of it. SSSTaxidermy
Your best bet is to return and ask questions to the taxidermist that mounted your bird. Pending what he had to work with, he might have followed certain reference materials. I'm not sure. That is where you need to start, which in my opinion is only fair to the taxidermist as well. That is the way I'd want to be treated...As for your mount, there are ways and techniques we rehydrate mounts and modify successfully...However this isn't easy at all if you bring it to another taxidermist. We don't use the same materials, techniques or process, and the re-hydrating method could have an adverse reaction on your mount. (Chemical reactions). So keep that in mind if you decide to bypass the taxidermy shop that did it in the first place. Good Luck
