Rubio is the best thing that has happen to the Wolves in a long time. Guaranteed he will put more butts in seats then they have had since KG left. He may not be a top scorer, but he is fun to watch, and will be the spark plug the Wolves need.

If only he can get it down during the game. I think adjusting his mechanics a little with the right coaches, I think he could be a good shooter. His release is to abrupt, and if he can fix that, we may have a decent pg.

Looks good mechanically, squared up, catching and pulling straight up from the same point of attack, but this game is about speed and great athletes show efficiency in movement, nothing is wasted. My nit pick is his feet. He is consciously resetting his feet before each shot. I'd like to see them teaching him to be squared and ready on the catch. You don't get a lot of time in the NBA, you need to be ready to shoot. Watch Stojakovic, Ray Allen, old tapes of Larry Legend...they are ready to shoot on the catch, not planting feet then squaring. Speed of release is important to the great shooters. He may never be a great shooter, but he looks like he has potential. Practice gym and games are a two different beasts though.

Super star? Doubt it! But he will put butts in seats! He is fun to watch. He reminds me of Stephon Marbury with his ball control, and passing skills. But Ricky actually doesnt mind passing the ball.
