eelpout50
I remember seeing a link for a bungee that you attach to your anchor line or drift sock harness. I belive it was a company based out of Wis? any ideas?

jwmiller33
Randy is right, it is called "Drop N Stay". They look like the would work really well for anchoring in big waves
Northlander
I used a big bungy cord like the ones used on the drop n stay and it worked well. I havent used the Drop n Stay yet but would like to see how it performs in current. I anchor a lot on the river and this seems like it could be the ticket. Maybe I will make my own. TruthWalleyes
In heavy waves last year...probably after the "drop n stay" thread, i tried to make my own. Just used a standard bungee strap attached to the boat and attached anchor line to the bungee. Helps keep the anchor on the bottom when the waves lift the boat up because instead of a JERK motion, its a more suttle PULL. Tried it once, worked great, and haven't bothered using again because i rarely anchor in lakes.
