Headin to Richmond

For my first Nascar race. Figured it was time to experience this in true form. Should be just a blast, can't wait for it. Heading down Wednesday, be takin the Denny Hamlin late model race thursday night as an added bonus. Looks like it's going to be in the 80's, figure I will still wear my 5 time Champion Jimmie Johnson jacket just to spite all the haters. Hoping for another Hendrick weekend.

great track to go to i think thats a 3 day show to isnt it

i mean trucks nationwide and cup

should be able to see all the action good if you have good seats

as compared to the bigger tracks

i've been to phoenix and vegas and really like phoinex

vegas was a rather boring race it was before they changed

but i think you'll have fun in richmond

Should be a great time, have a blast. I think we'll be going to the Vegas race next year for our first race. A bunch of friends are going out around that time so I figured it would work out.

Rather disappointing, actually. The Nationwide race wasn't any better. All they did was play follow the leader all night and was not the typical Saturday night short track race we've been accustomed too. Kind of a yawner.

Well, the nationwide was a real doozy. WOW, never expected that. Then the first half of the Sprint started the same way, I'm like well, this is starting to suck. Then leave it up to Juan Pablo to start the b.s., then it went downhill, had JJ and BK dualing together which ended up with some funny stuff, especially when BK had all flats sitting stranded on pit road, had to get towed to his stall, yet they took him behind the wall. The scanner was just jiving most of the time. After the big wreck in Turn 3 with Jeff and Matt, thought Jeff was gonna come unglued on Clint. Scanners should not be given to kids, FYI. LOL It ended up being a great weekend for me down there. The southerners are so nice, love to party and just have a ton of fun. Seeing that amount of people and never run into trouble was pretty good experience.

Funniest moment of the weekend, I was chef on saturday before the race. We were cooking up some Johnsonville Beer Brats, found some sweet corn at Walmart so I soaked them up and put them on the Grill. Had this southern lady come over and asked me "What the F$*& are you doing to that corn? Ya'll some crazy people from the north country" I was rolling, cuz this women was serious. Told her, I'm grilling it, I'll give you a piece and tell me what you think. In the end she was in love with the chef, cuz I made that corn a grilled perfected masterpiece. There just isn't any other way to do it.
