He looked really good tonight. Best performance that I've seen out of a Twins reliever this season. Is he good enough to stay up and make an impact?

only time will tell, but yes, I thought he looked good tonight too. He hit 97 on the gun. He clearly has trouble keeping the ball down at times. Hopefully that is fixable

It was nice to see a few players play better tonight, including the bullpen doing a great job at closing out the game

the real test is to see how he will pitch in back to back to back games

I think Capper needs a break, he pitches like everyday

He was traded by the Orioles, too, (as part of the JJ Hardy deal) which gives a guy a little incentive to pitch/play harder against the team that dealt you, but I sure liked what I saw. Hopefully he can keep it up. Save for the closers, relief has been pretty good so far.

I wouldn't say that he looked "great".

I would say he looked AMAZING!

He had plenty of velocity, but the MOVEMENT on that ball with the ability to consistently attack the strike zone was pretty great. He has had issues letting the ball get up in the strike zone apparently, but I didn't see much if any of that in his debut against the Orioles.

One game isn't much, so I can't make any real predictions, but in the back of my mind I'm hoping we can see performances like that from him every time he steps up to the mound for the rest of this year.

Interesting triva, his debut FOR the orioles when he first came to the majors was against the Twins.

if you look back at his game log for the past several years, he has always been a 1-2 inning guy out of the pen and averaged pitching about 3 times a week. I wouldn't worry about him melting down from the stress of pitching on back to back days if thats your concern
