Any one use these looking at them at cabelas but some if the review are not good just seeing what others think.

It is funny that a reel that says US Reel is made in China. As for the reels themselves I have not used one.

I have used them and they are a very nice reel. I cant remember off hand wich one I have now but its a XT something. I have been happy with it. I use it as a shore long casting reel. The wider spool really helps on casting.

Ardent is the only fresh water casting/spinning Reel I'm aware of that is still made in the US.c63

Cabelas had them on sale tight now that is why i was wondering and there were some not so favorable reviews

I have 3 of the US REELS in the stainless versions, 180SX, 230SX, and the 240SX. Great reels, I love the little 180SX the best.

The larger spool 230 and 240 models cast a mile, very impressive. I shore cast a lot so they caught my interests and are my go-2 reels in late fall.

The new Pro Series has a new draw system that eliminated concerns of braids wanting to wind around the drag button..that was very irritating on the early models.

The whole US REEL Series is very nice, high quality gear. I opted for the stainless steel SX models, but the X and XL models that are non stainless is just fine for freshwater use...and a bit less costly.

(Note the recessed drag button on the new SX, X, and XL series US REELS, this eliminates the spooling issues on some braids.)
