Fever
I try to keep mine separated by brand. for example, Strike king 6xds, 5xds, 3.5's, 1.5's in one sleave, Rapala DT's, Mann's, Norman's, Bomber's, and Storm's, etc. Now there are a few that I don't have enough of to merit their own box and those I'll put in a box based on their depth, top, shallow, medium, deep etc. I have a tough time always putting the cranks back at times but those then get hung up near casting platform and are more accessable that way. I think as of now storing them by their manufacturer helps quite a bit. I label the outside of the box with labeling tape to make them easily accessable. Comit 2
Two for short fat cranks. One for big jerkbaits. One for med, jerkbaits. One for small jerkbaits and small crankbaits. One for shad shaped cranks size 5. One for jointed shad cranks #5-7 and two for lipless cranks. Ant that is just one of my bags
TurnUpTheFishing
Learned this system from a walleye trolling pro:The little boxes with all the little compartments are not the answer, when you get to where you have a couple hundred crank baits you'll find all the little compartments tangled with two many cranks in too little space.I use 4 good size tupper ware containers, top waters, stick baits divers and kind of a extra large generic walleye box.The way to go is to tie down all the treble hooks with rubber bands. Get a big bag of good sized rubber bands and just wrap up those treble hooks up. Hog tie em good so they won't tangle and you could fill up a 5 gallon bucket full a cranks and every one will come right out when you want it.Try it you'll like it. Saw this on the angling edge. Looked like a slick idea but you still gotta rummage around for a specific lure.
gritsnham
You could look into something like the easy view tackle system (making your own would not be to hard) google it but its basically foam stuck on the inside of your boat compartments to hold baits. Would be easy storage if you fish mainly in your own boat cecil. I got 3 plano FTOs now and made a storage box of cranks with some of the extras that dont get wet a lot. Excited for all the time fishing I will gain but not having to untangle the crankbait I wanna use!
