Reel Parts

Recommended Posts

I went to the expo the other day and am capable of fixing my own reel.

Does anyone know where to buy replacement parts? It is a Shimano reel. I have bought parts at Anoka live bait before, the phone number I found was no longer in service.

I needed a Shimano bail spring last summer, but the reel was old enough that Shimano no longer had parts. I tried Wayzata Bait and they sent me to Trail's End, who had the part I needed. They only had two, I thought after I left that I should have bought them both. My plan for future reel purchases is to check out the parts diagram as soon as I get home and order a spare bail spring and anything else that looks like a wear part right away.

Ron.

The old "Anglers Paradise" that was in Anoka is no longer around. Actions Electronics is still just down the road and the guy who fixed the reels went to trails end. Not sure if he is still there, but they do fix them there and sell parts.
