2 new sizes of splash brites this year

You asked for it and they made it! Last year Thill came out with the Fully automatic Lindy Splash Brite bobber, The XL size was a massive hit on the Big water Walleye fronter.

Shortly after, the panfish guys started calling for a small size for panfish presentations. Then the finess Walleye fishermen wanted one just a size smaller than the XL for plain hooks and small jigs...Well, they made them both. You asked and they delivered!

For those of you not familiar with the Splash Brite series of lighted floats, read below.

The Splash Brite lights up when it hits the water, and shuts off when it comes out of the water. No buttons, no light sticks, no battery required. Just slip it on and fish. The Splash Brite is built with Thill's premium standards. Its sealed and contained center slip float design features a line friendly grommet and Hi-Vis top. It offers little resistance and excellent sensitivity - making it a perfect daytime float once its battery dies.

Fully Automatic

Lights activate upon contact with water

No batteries required

A true center slider slider slip float

Line friendly brass grommet

They are a sealed unit with an internal battery that is design to light up on contact with water. They were made sealed for a reason. On the ones that you have to twist the top of the bobber it will eventually leak and fill up with water because the seal goes bad. Splash brites provide ease of use. No more trying to pull or twist the top of those little batteries or no more messing with light sticks. They retail for 5.99. I have paid up to 5 bucks just for batteries in a pinch up at mom and pop store up north and could never get more than one or two evenings out of them. With the splash brites I can get up to 40 hours on them.

I hear ya CJH not everyone has the luxury of having two seperate bobber rods. I have always used thill pro series floats for daytime fishing and then had to switch over to some other type of lighted bobber for fishing at night anyway, so I guess I have always been used to switching it up for the night bite anyway.

I love these things, though it is annoying to have to constantly change the bobber when fishing during the day or at night. That being said, I do A LOT of night fishing, and both of the Splash Brites I used last year are still going strong. We'll see if I can get two years out of them...

That's my issue, is that I do more float fishing during the day (I use the Thill Pro's also) and only some during the evening/low light periods. So it would be nice to not have to switch or replace bobbers all of the time!!

C'mon Lindy, I know you can figure it out!!!

I'm no bobber expert by any means but couldn't they make a version that had the slot all the way down and can be taken off without retying? Actually that brings up another question. I don't think I remember seeing any of the Thill floats that are built like that. Is that a patented function by another company?
