Replacement Sling Back Chair Material

I have 6 sling back patio chairs that I'd like to salvage by replacing the sling material. I haven't had much luck in locating a metro area store with a good selection of replacement sling back material. Anyone have any suggestions of places to buy this, either in the metro or online?

SR Harris Fabric Outlet in Brooklyn Park

I'm not positive they have the mesh type. But I do know they have tons of everything including lots of outdoor fabric. The place is like a warehouse.

I did a google search online last year, and found several places. The premade replacements are spendy, but just the material isn't terrible. I'm thinking about just taking the material off the chairs, and putting cedar slats on there in its place, in the spring.

I repaired my own vinyl straps in one of ours last spring. Ordered the parts online. It was rather easy to do, inexpensive, and took less than 5 minutes per strap. When I get home this evening I'll try to remember to look up the address for you.

Struck out at the fabric store.....they don't carry the UV protected fabric meant for patio chairs (tightly woven synthetic material).

The chairs are solid sling back chairs with no strips or slats of material. The edges of the fabric are being held into a channel by a length of plastic rod. Any suggestions other than buying new?

I've also had good luck from patiofurniturerehab. Search the web for them. Fast delivery, good how-to videos on their site, and inexpensive.

If you have an place that makes awnings I'll bet that have something you could use.

I would think the stuff they make sun shades from. Its breathable and UV and rot resistant.
