Fished an awesome bite saturday, sunday, and monday. 22-25FOW using small jigging spoons. We found massive schools of 12"-14" crappies schooled extremly tight. When we found these schools the bottom 8' of the lake was solid fish. The fish were suicidal. We would stop the lure 4' above the school and the fish would rocket up and smack the bait. One school dad and I fished was crazy. We were fishing in holes 3' apart and caught slabs as fast as you could get your line down for over an hour. Caught and released more 12" plus crappies in 2 1/2 days of fishing than I could begin to count. What a way to end the season....unless I can squeeze in one more trip this weekend. Sorry, the lake shall remain nameless.

Huh??? No gps needed. Fish are just roaming a basin area. Just punch holes till you find them. Different locations everyday in the same general area. If you are on the school it is magic, if not just an ocassionial fish. Heard the bite is still on. Heading out soon. Looks like with this weather we might get a couple more weekends in.
