Never seen it before, it looks super fast and super slick. I'll give it a try when I finally get out on the water for sure.

I'm normally a uni knot guy.. if it ain't broken don't fix it, and my knots don't break unless I want them to.

I've tied something similar to that. I learned of the knot at the sport show at the bass tank. The Pro fisherman, I believe he's from Oklahoma or some southern state, always shows how to tie his knot. He gets many requests to show how to do it because it's so simple and quick. I haven't had any problem with the knot. I also use palomar knot.

Thats the exact knot I have been useing for about 30 years since I was about 5. My dad would give me some heavy line and lure with no hooks to practice on in the living room.

Thought it was a family secret, lol... eekgrin

We dont do the spin thing, just pinch, bring back to form a loop, wrap 3-4 times for mono and 6 for braids, then back through the loop.

I have tried every knot going but still use that one 99% of the time...

I learned that knot years ago from an uncle.

It is fast and easy -years ago I saw the knot demonstrated on a fishing show.

Works fine- I've wondered if someone has named the knot.

I usually use the uni-knot now-no problem with knots coming loose.

I've tied something similar when I was a kid, but it was kind of more like a bird nest knot for me. Basically was a reversed clinch or something to that effect. I'm gonna have to give this knot a few shot and see how it looks and jog the old memory.

The name of the knot in the video is called a San Diego Jam knot. The guy in the video is skipping an important step though - you need to pass the tag end of the line through the loop at the lure before going through the loop at the other end of the twists. It has been tested an is a very strong knot.
