Coleman motors-What the!

Was in FF the other day and noticed a set of Coleman small motors-made in China! Anyone buying one of these?

Dont think that I would be the first one to jump on that band wagon.

I heard they run on White gas, have a pop-up propane lantern and you can cook hot dogs on the exhaust!

I'm guessing that the only thing "coleman" about those engines is the label on the side.

whether that means they are total junk or just regular junk is open to speculation.

I wouldn't be surprised to see briggs & stratton or something else stamped on the whatever is going on underneath the shroud.

Can't say I've ever seen one on the water myself but for a guy on a budget it might be worth looking into..not sure being made in China is a big deal these days as most all outboards are made offshore along with about everything else.
