10,000 Casts
Quote: You guys are ALL effin nuts. $300 - $500 for a combo. Good luck with that. Not saying that I don't have combos that cost that much, but I thought he was on a budget. You guys sound like a bunch of salesmen at Thorne Bros! Seriously you can get a rod for under $80 that will work just fine, pair it with a Garcia C3. depends how and how much he wants to fish.. BTW, this summer, when a guys splits the gas bill, gets food for lunch and so on, well, it is expensive.. so me personally, if I am going to do it, I will try to do it right.. I think a guy on a budget would be better off getting a used high quality combo then buying the C3-2x4 combo for $129.99 jmoIf he ends up getting a used shimano, and if the Shimano guys are are at the show like last year, they will pull the whole thing apart and replace any worn parts and lube an dry areas and he will have a new reel.. Esox_Magnum
I know for a fact there will be 2 Calcutta B's at the swap, all gone through by a reel shop, guessing you'll be able to buy either for near half price. Also will be a couple Okumas and older Shimanos on our table cheap.
