paul pachowicz
The cat season quota has been reached as of 21 Feb with 2 over the limit. The two over were killed Monday afternoon. A total of 26 females and 21 toms were killed in 52 days. There were several days where the weather was really not good for man nor beast to be out in it. DonBo
Is that pretty typical to fill out this early? Has the quota been the same for a while now?
paul pachowicz
howdy Don. Yes, it has closed out pretty quick during the past 4-5 years that there has been a season. The quotas have gone up by 5 a year for the past few years. I don't really think it has even put a dent in the population considering that there are always a few road kills and several "nuisance" kills in cities and threatened ranch stock and who knows how many SSS cats have bite the dust. SSS? I thought that was just for the wolves over in this part of the world.
