fivebucks
I have just a little time now cause of getting caught up with work but the trip was great. I will post pics and more stories later. We got in on the last 3 half way decent days of the Red run. The run basically was a bust as they originally projected 1.77 million fish and when we left they had around 850,000 come through. We managed to box up 10 reds. We had fun catching chums but didn't have too much luck with the kings, catching only 1 adult. The people at the lodge were great. I can see why Pete loves working there. Minnow and Dave were our guides and they are great people. A very fun time was had by all. Post more when I can in a few days. Alagnak
Well, besides being lucky with weather and run timing i think the most important factor with having a 'successful' alaskan fishing trip is being open minded, flexible, realistic, and willing to roll with what mother nature deals you. Mark, it sounds like you and your wife went in with a great attitude and realistic expectations. Already being good fisher-people of course makes your guide look good too. :-) Glad you guys had a good time. Looking forward to pics.
