help with landing fish

hi to make this quick and easy i sold all my ice fishing gear due to my awfull fish allergies. i could hardly be in the house with the smell. so i was going to sell my boat when my wife said no she said she would be willing to help take fish off for me. however i,m mostly a pike guy my wife likes sunnies and bass. i can deal with out pike she wont touch them at all. for bass and sunnies do those fish pliers work for holding the fish good i know she can get panfish off ok with out them. also last year we started getting cat fish what a hoot i would put them in the boat with a net take hook out and put the fish back with the net so i didnt touch them would a pliers work on this or no thanks for the help and to a special lady who wouldnt let my fishing dream die.

Why not? I would think that if she tried fishing for pike she'd really enjoy it if she likes fishing at all. If it's because she doesn't like the feel of the slime, you could get her a pair of those gloves made for handling pike. It will make it a lot easier for her to hang on to them too, which is probably safer for the fish if you intend to release it.

Just a thought.
