ND stinks right now for spearing. all the good ol spots from years past are murky water. The only 3 lakes I have found this year are either slow goin or small nords. all you minnesotans make it sound like the spearing opportunities are endless there! You lucky Buggers!

Oh well Im just gonna havta go win a new pickup in the Devils Lake ice fishing tourney today!

Where does the term "blue platers" come from?

You might want to check the regs. LOTW, being a border water, has a longer northern pike season than most of MN. Maybe the spearing season is longer there too?
