I used Windows Movie Maker for years to compile video clips and then compiling them into an MWV format. Slick as heck.
I bought a Canon A780 last year, and the video format that it takes is .MOV(Quicktime).
Windows Movie Maker does not support that file format.
Does anyone know of a reliable freeware/shareware program to download in order to edit .MOV format movie clips?
I tried one, and it infected my PC something fierce. So I am leary just trying other freeware programs. If I have to buy something, I guess, so be it. But if there is an effective freeware program out there anyone knows of, please pass along.

We're usually fully stocked but you caught me on a bad night!
Tuesday night is usually "board meeting" night if you know what I mean. Stop in and have a tasty beverage some Tuesday night after these holidays are over and things get back to normal.
