Jim Hudson
Myself along with Smallmouth guru, Matt Straw (In-Fisherman writer and show host), will be putting on our first Smallmouth University here on my home waters of Chequamegon Bay. Dates are May 20th through 21st, prime Pre-Spawn and Spawn time here on one of the best Smallmouth water in the country. Average size of 18" and lots of numbers of 20"+ fish. Friday night seminars and all day fishing on Saturday - we will be on the water helping in putting everyone on the best fish areas and to give on the water tutorials throughout the day. Bring your boat and a few buddies and come experience Smallmouth fishing at its best!! Or, if you wish, guided packages are available. Jig Master
Is Matt gonna teach his trolling techniques for smallies, just like he uses in the sturgeon bay open?
Jim Hudson
Not sure on that one.. But, I do know, it is an effective technique for myself to locate and find moving fish out here on Chequamegon Bay. Same goes for other big bodies of water. Do it a lot post-spawn, when they are roaming back to summer territory. So, it could be touched on.
Macsimus
The only thing more amazing than the size of those fish is that they survive the absolute pounding they take every May.
Captain B.R.K
What a great opportunity! What is the cost of the program? Will you have information about lodging for those coming from a distance? Any special lodging rates with the program? Thanks!
