Memorial day

We all (well most of us anyways) have this nice three day weekend coming up next weekend that marks the begining of summer. I'm sure that just about everyone here will get out and do some fishing, have a bbq and complain about the $2.00 gas.

Lets not lose sight of why we have this weekend to begin with. This sums it up pretty good, it's from one of my favorite songs.
"Love your country and live with pride, but don't forget those who died".

That's right, Memorial Day isn't just a day off of work, it's there to memorialize those that fought and layed down thier lives so we can enjoy all the benefits the USA has to offer.
In the past couple of days I've visited a few graves of family and friends. The Vets recieved flags and flowers, the civilians got flowers.
Take a few minutes this Memorial Day to think about what it's really about. Many people aren't affected by loss of family or friends due to war, those that are can really appreciate its true meaning.

A salute to all that have served our Country, past, present, and future...SALUTE!
