TWINS RETURN TO FOX SPORTS NET

The Minnesota Twins and Victory Sports announced today that
they have agreed to a new telecast agreement with Fox Sports
Net North (FSNN), returning Twins games to the cable and
satellite subscribers on FSNN. The Twins vs. Oakland game
scheduled for Saturday at 3 p.m. CT is the first game that
FSNN will carry. FSNN will then carry all games scheduled on
Victory Sports One for the remaining 2004 season.

That is great news!! One of the gals at the bait shop was really depressed that they hadn't been on!! I'm a loyal fan, but she is unbelievably loyal (it's going to be a better summer now)! Thanks Carl or Gov. Pawlenty or whoever!!

Yeah its about time we got them back, good old pohlad trying to squeeze another buck out of everyone. Great to have them back and not on sportscenter.

I can almost gaurantee that it was not carl who helped, that guy is the cheapest person in the world, but anyways that is awesome news, and the twins won yesterday to top it off!!

I was channel surfing Saturday and what the heck, the Twins were on FSN. Totally shocked, thats all I can say.

Apparently the legislature had added a line to the stadium bill requiring 70-80% of cable & satellite providers to carry a certain number of Twins games a year. The language was along those lines, I can't remember the specifics.

That pretty much did Victory in. The Twins & Pohlad are shooting for the stadium & getting Victory to not work out would have pretty much killed the stadium. I think the stadium is dead anyway but thats another topic.

Why do we need a new stadium for each team in the metro area? A stadium for the Twins, Vikings, Gophers, Wild, and Timberwolves? Can't they share a stadium? Let these rich owners pay for their new stadiums. If they do not want to pay the 100's of millions, they can go find another sucker city to make them richer. I say let them go and we can watch on TV.
