Can't open iPhone pix

St_Croix_Banks

Question

When I download or synch my iPhone to my PC----I see a file under MY PICTURES that is labeled Ipod Photo Cache. I assume these are my iPhone pictures. When I attempt to open them they are a file type .ithmb. What software do I need to open them or can I convert somehow to jpeg?

Those might be the iphone thumbnails that are used to display the little versions of the photos. Windows also creates thumbnails but hides the files so you don't see them. But when you are using windows explorer they are there. Picasa also creates hidden files for thumbnails and things like cropping.
