thatoneguy
Do we think about drafting a quartback in an early round or do we look to add some depth to the o-line or the secondary. Secondary has struggled mostly due to injuries I believe. O line struggled due to injuries but also to inconsistent play(loadholt, mckinnie, even hutch). It looks like Luck will be the number 1 draft pick. But who knows where Locker from Washington and Mallet from Arkansas will be picked. Or do we see what Webb can do for a season? With this win, MN will likely drop far enough down in the first round that Luck and Mallet will be gone before they pick. If they manage to beat Detroit, that will be sealed. Ideally (IMO) they would get a good CB or O-lineman with their first pick, and pray that Locker falls all the way to their 2nd round pick. Another option, depending on where they end up in the draft, would be to trade down in the first to pick up an extra 2nd round pick, and still get a guy they like at a position of need. There are a lot of holes to fill, and I don't think it would be a bad idea to add another early round pick if they can't get a franchise-type QB in round one.As an aside, when some goobers were bashing Webb after last week, I asked for a little patience since he was in over his head and had no game or practice experience. The same holds true after his encouraging play last night - yes, it was nice, but it's far too early to form an opinion. I certainly think he's worth keeping and developing, but I don't think the Vikes want him to be the #1 QB in 2011.
flipper
I have to admit I was sure wrong in my prediction for this game. The Vikes looked the best they have all season. I am hoping they start Webb in the last game, he has definite possibilities.
JBMasterAngler
I'm not sold on this Locker kid from washington. I've quite a few of his games the last 2 seasons and he is NOT that good! Last year was a better year. This year he was average at best...the only better than good (not great) game he had was against USC. And on top of that, he's shown that he might be injury prone this year. I expect him to get lit up pretty good against nebraska. If the vikes pick him, it will be a wasted pick in my opinion! Stock up on the o-line and/or d-backs, and hope either Joe Webb pans out (in 2012, since Favre will come back) or the QB class in the 2012 draft is alot better. gregg52
maybe fan pressure will play into fraziers decision let farve throw a farwell pass(or interception..lol)and then get to business with web why not devolop him and build around him with the drafts you save
creepworm
Webb did look pretty decent but I do not believe he is a franchise type QB, but man is he athletic. Drafting him as a wide reciever was a very good idea. I do hope they get a QB before next year.
