Well I am a rookie at this sledding, went out on leech last evening and encountered a lot of slush, well tonight I was all set to go about 3 this afternoon and my track is all froze up. What precautions do you take? I am just lucky I made it home last night. There must be a procedure but like I said I am a rookiew at this, thanks, Dave

Pick up the rear of the sled and drop it down quickly a few times to break loose the ice. A few times should do it. Then start the motor, raise the rear of the sled with the help of a friend and rev it a bit to start the track rotating. This will break loose and throw out the ice and make the track turn easier when you start to ride.

Its also a good idea to do this at the end of each day/ride to help make it easier to free up the next time you ride.

Ya, you have to try and catch it the day it happens or if what Macg, says doesn't work, it's chipping with a screw driver time! frown Have fun and play safe! smile

As soon as you park the sled put something under the back bumper to get the track of the ground. This should help some.

Also be careful spining the track while behind the sled, if it lets go you will lose a leg.

Ive got a buddy who cant have kids bacause a track let loose while he was holding it up. eek
