til the opening of the 2011 season? Man after shooting that dandy buck this year it has really got me juiced for next year. I've already picked up a new stand and new camera and i'll be picking up a buck decoy soon as well. At work we are already turning in our vacation time for next year and for the first time ever i'm going to get a late fall vacation...the week of October 21-30th. It can't all come soon enough.......

The long wait until next year, I have plenty to do to fill the time but man the bow season goes by so fast and the rest of the year so slow.

No kidding, especially this year for some reason. We went from fall to frozen tundra in about a week. I love to ice fish and turkeys keep me busy in the spring but like you guys, my passion is to be in the treestand.

276 days left until 2011 archery season opens, but who is counting.

The part that makes the wait longer for some of us is when we shoot a buck too early and can not go out again. I know last year I shot one in the middle of October and it drove me nuts not being in the woods for the rut. This year I got lucky and got one on the Friday before gun season. Perfect timing in my book, but even that leaves me with almost two monthes thinking about what could have been.

funny thing... my girlfriend asked me what i'm going to do till next fall now that hunting is done.... i just smirked

shed hunting for me lasts from now till june! heck thats six months!

by june, i'll have trail cameras, out, possible have filled my turkey tag, and be waiting on a letter to say i've been drawn for a montana bow permit
