What type of grease to use?

I use whats in my grease gun. smile Water proof wheel bearing grease.

This topic could go on and on about what the best grease is but any grease is better then no grease.

No grease is what happens with a lot of sleds out there.

Spring time is best to grease when temps are warm and your putting the sled away for Summer.

The grease will push out the water.

There should be a couple more on the skid frame, one on the speedometer end of the driveshaft (behind the clutch secondary), and maybe another on the steering somewhere. It depends on your particular sled.

For the type of grease, I agree that anything will work, but I bought one of those small "one hand" flex hose guns and keep it loaded with low temp grease (Fleet Farm) just for the sled. Handy to use for those hard to reach fittings.
