I went to get my spearing license yesterday at the resort down the road. It came up with and error message that i needed to buy a fishing license. Here's the interesting part, I have a resident lifetime license. All info was plugged into the system, then Rick called the help line, they said it could one of two things but couldn't say what. So i went to FF in Alex and tried there, same thing. I guess it's my fault for not getting it done sooner, but I'm still ticked off cause all I can do is look and not do!!!!!

Did you get your angling license 'renewal' this year. I have a lifetime angling, too, and haven't picked up my spearing license yet. Now you got me worried....

Yes I did, used it all summer. it's vaild until next year. I went on line and tried it myself and got the same thing again. I can see my friend out on the lake as I type this, ouch!

Sounds like the DNR has a bug in their system with lifetime licenses.

Maybe they got it fixed...I was just able to purchase my spearing license.

The DNR must have had a bug, when I called this morning they said opps! Something was turned off and then reset today. I can now spear, YES!!!!

Hope fully this was a one time thing.
