Deer movement and snow

Blaze

Recommended Posts

Hey guys - what has your experience been with deer movement during snowfalls like this (4-8" of new snow)? I can probably get out tomorrow morning or evening, but not both. Would you get out during the snow in the morning or wait til it finishes and get out for evening post? I'd love to do both, but that's not possible tomorrow.

Any feedback on how deer move or don't move in weather like this?

If you held a gun to my head to pick just morning or evening tomorrow, I'd pick the morning. Not sure exactly where you're located, but it sounds like the snow will quit early morning. That'd be the time to be there.

I would like to go first thing morning too tomorrow but getting to my hunting spot isn't worth it before the plows do their job out here in the country. I might end up stuck and frustrated. But I do agree. If you can be there right after the snow quits.
