Spearing game for the Wii

I was thinking while i was wrapping the kids'Wii Christmas present last night...why isn't there a spearing/fishing game? that'd be the coolest thing to pass time till ice. it could incorporate strategy of location, decoy selection, time of day, motion, and all the other factors...i dunno, just seemed like a cool idea.

I made a computer ice fishing game in high school in 1976. This was on the old teletype machine and you bought time from a central computer in Minneapolis and dialed in with a modem. It was designed such that you would get more bites if you chose lighter line and jigged more often. With the lighter lines though you had a better chance of breaking off if the fish was bigger. If I would have pursued a programming career which I almost did, I would probably have been retired by now.

I think kids would get sick of waiting hours for a pike to come into the tv... heck video games just go out n do it!

i always thought it'd be a cool too to have a spear house at the MDAA booth where a flat panel tv (floor mounted) would be in place of the spear hole. when a feller/kid would walk in to inspect what's going on inside the house,they'd see a recording of a actual spearing footage and see what it's like to spear and see the sights of what's under the lake.
