IceKing72
I was wondering if there is a varmit load out there for a 30-06. I wanted to use it for coyotes, but that is a pretty powerful load. Any advice is greatly appriciated.
bigg edd
I use 110 grain V-Max with 57 grains of varget out of my T/C Encore for prairie dogs when it gets windy. Very flat out to 300 yards. I'm guessing your not concerned with pelt damage.
HooknHorns
Remington makes a 55grn saboted bullet called accellerator(sp?). Shot them before but couldnt find enough ammo to make it worth while to shoot and bought a 243. Single shot 243 are fairly cheap and make great varmit guns. harvey lee
My father would shoot a 06 and a 30-30 at the yotes with the accellerator loads and he did very well. I now have 5 boxes in each caliber and I suppose I will have to shoot them u.
Steve Foss
Back when I shot a 30-30, I used to hunt fox with the Accelerator rounds. I believe the bullets inside the sabots were .223. Worked quite well.
