Vegas Baby Vegas

Question

I am a Vegas first timer, leave in 2 weeks- any suggestions on things to do. So far, my brother and I have a Hoover Dam trip planned one morning, and I want to play in a daily, cheap buy-in Hold 'Em tourney at one of the casinos. I have read online that Liberaces museum is a must see. What else

Next time you go try out Ellis Island. It is behind Bally's and Paris off the strip a couple blocks. They have Steak dinners for $6.95 i believe. You also get a large schooner of beer included in the price. Steak, Fresh potatoes and Fresh veggie and bread. They are a micro brewery and have some awesome beer. This was the cheapest place we found and ate there four times in the week we were out there. The food was AWESOME. Nice little casino also so you can sit and play a few slots too. The lions at MGM was pretty cool too.

Those were put up for the night when I was in there. I forgot to mention we did go to the pawn shop from Pawn Stars. They make that place look huge on TV. Every Pawn America I have been into are around 3 times the size of that place. Chum and the other guys were nowhere to be seen, and we were in there about 10:30 on thursday morning. Did see the Patriots ring, a Rams ring, and a Rays AL Champs ring (amongst others) in the case and that was pretty cool

My wife an I went for the first time this week. A benefit of renting a car is you can eat off the strip and get a much better deal. One place we found by accident is called the Stake Out. It's a little bar with very good food, ribs, Philly steak, and breakfast. Open 24 hours. Another one was called Off the Strip. both were on Tropicana St., one was east and the other west of the strip.

Saw the Beatles Love show, Defending the Caveman, and Menopause the Musical. all were great.

Chum and Corey have a traveling 'Pawn Stars' road show that's hitting all the casinos across the country. They at the Iowa casinos over Thanksgiving week.

Yeah I think they were in Red Wing just the other day. At least Peaches coulda been there wink
