Bemidji?

So me and a couple buddies are thinkin about drivin up to bemedji to do a college visit on saturday and thought we might as well do some hunting...hows the duck action up ther?

Many of the smaller lakes/ponds are freezing overnight. The larger lakes like Cass, Winnie and Leech are holding ducks, but they are getting harder to find on the smaller bodies of water.

We have been seeing rafts of ducks for a while. After the snow on Saturday, they seemed to have moved on. Looking at the forecast, I think the duck season in the northern part of the state is about over. You will still find open water on deeper lakes but that is very spotty since there is no feed for them in the deep water. Good luck and be safe.
