Nice link Tom7227. I just replaced our Kenmore a few weeks ago. I had the issue with the tank being overfilled as well. It ended up being that float had been pulled up higher into the tank (kids must have pulled on the line or something?). I got everything cleaned and the float back into place and everything worked for a month or so but it eventually just quit regenerating period. Rather than put anymore time or effort into it (it was 14 yrs old), I replaced it with a Water Boss.
