Deer Hides for Gloves??

I used to bring in my deer hides and in return get deer skinned gloves. Does anyone know if anybody in the Twin Cities area is still doing that??

Hides for Habitat boxes are all over the state.

Yes, Brooklyn Park but my hides are already in a Hides for Habitat box as others mentioned. To each his own but I've hunted before on some land purchased out of this program by MDHA and my hides will always go to them. I also site in at two different MDHA ranges which further pushes me toward donating.

Would I like a pair of gloves or two--sure, but I like thinking I'm helping out other hunters with the donation get a place to hunt.

We send kids to Forkhorn hunting camps with money raised from Hides for habitat in our chapter. All expenses paid. I think our chapter sent over 50 kids last year. Fantastic experience for kids, get their hunter safety training and certificates, etc.

You can buy a pair of gloves for $5 at FF.

I agree, drop them off at a MDHA Hides for Habitat box. Our local chapter sends area youth to Forkhorn camps and also does cost share for seed for food plots. If you really want a pair of gloves stop out and give our chapter a hand with the hides, all our volunteers get a free pair from the chapter.

Yes I agree too. I have dropped off one already but thought it would be cool to trade my sons for some gloves for him.

Fish Lake Bait in Harris exchanges hides for gloves and also has a seperate hides for habitat box. If you want gloves bring the hides right into the shop.
